Cpl Healthcare in partnership with West Hertfordshire NHS Trust is hoping to recruiting experienced and non – experienced nurses for full time nursing positions across the Trust in all clinical areas.
West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides acute healthcare services to a core catchment population of approximately half a million people living in west Hertfordshire, North London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and East Hertfordshire. Overall the population served by the Trust is relatively affluent, but there are some areas of deprivation. As an employer of over 4000 people the Trust is one of the biggest employers in the area and sees nearly a million patients each year.
Trust is made up of 3 hospitals
Watford General Hospital (WGH)
WGH is the heart of the Trust’s acute emergency services – the core location for inpatient emergency care, and for all patients who need the specialist emergency facilities (such as intensive care) of a major district general hospital. It also provides elective care for higher risk patients together with a full range of outpatient and diagnostic services. There are c.600 beds and 9 theatres (including 1 local theatre). Watford is also the focus of the Trust’s Women’s and Children’s services including neo-natal care.
The Trust has undertaken a significant programme of service and estate reconfiguration in the last few years. This included the development of St Albans City Hospital into a dedicated center for elective surgery, the move of A&E and in-patient services from Hemel Hempstead to Watford and the development of a new Acute Admissions Unit at Watford to provide an innovative model of care and to accommodate an almost doubling of emergency activity.
Hemel Hempstead Hospital (HHH)
Hemel Hempstead Hospital has a 24/7 urgent care center and offers other local healthcare facilities such as diagnostic services, including MRI and cold pathology, and an outpatient service that sees in excess of 100,000 out patients per year. In addition it provides 12 Stroke Rehabilitation beds. Hertfordshire Community Trust also operates intermediate care beds on site. St Albans City Hospital (SACH)
St Albans City Hospital is the Trust’s elective care center. It provides a wide range of elective care (both inpatient low risk surgery and day-case) and a wide range of outpatient and diagnostic services with in excess of 70,000 outpatient appointments. It has 40 beds and 6 theatres (including 1 procedure room for ophthalmology) and a Minor Injuries Unit (MIU).
Watford – Watford is a town and borough in Hertfordshire, England, situated 17 miles northwest of central London and inside the circumference of the M25 motorway. Central Watford is served by 3 railway stations and a Tube station. One of the principal National Rail north-south rail routes, the West Coast Main Line, passes through Watford.
Hemel Hempstead is a large new town in Hertfordshire in the East of England, 24 miles (39 km) northwest of London and part of the Greater London Urban Area. The population according to the 2001 Census was 81,143, but is estimated at around 90,000 by Hertfordshire County Council. Great bars, shopping and Restaurants. 27 miles from London, 36 minutes to London Eustace Train Station.
St Albans in southern Hertfordshire, England, just east of Hemel Hempstead and west of Hatfield. It forms the main urban area of the City and District of St Albans. St Albans stands out as a unique English Cathedral City. There are lush green parks and countryside, a buzzing metropolis, excellent attractions and interesting and ancient history, fabulous shopping with many small independent shops amongst the high street stores and a fantastic range of eating and drinking establishments. It is just 20 minutes from London St Pancras, a short hop off the M1 and M25 motorways, within easy reach of London Luton and Heathrow airports.

Interested candidates must have
- Recognised Nursing Degree
- Full NMC Registration or eligible for full NMC registration (without having to complete IELTS exam)
- Previous Nursing experience is desirable but not essential
- Good level of English, minimum of B2 Level
- Good team player
- £500 per month for accommodation for 2 months
- £250 towards travel costs
- London Fringe Allowance - £22,777- £29,589
